'C Darwin2' celebrates his third straight month as the #1-ranked player in the world.

It’s another week atop the PocketFives.com Worldwide Rankings for the Swedish phenom ‘C Darwin2’, who has been the only #1-ranked player in all of 2018. What makes the past week so impressive is he has crossed the 12,000 PLB point barrier, touching a new high in 2018 of 12,222.54.

He racked up the PLB points thanks to a pair of big money finishes this week. The first was a final table appearance in Event #23 of the PokerStars High Roller series for $81,523 and 557.24 PLB points.  On the same day, he notched a runner-up finish in the partypoker Sunday Major Super High Roller for another $56,000/373.21.

The Swede has been so prolific as of late, he finds himself just over $100,000 from his next major milestone – $9 million in lifetime earnings. He surpassed $8 million as recently as late February 2018. At this pace, he may see that number as soon as next week.

While ‘lena900’ continues to sit comfortably in the #2 ranking, he now has a 2,687.67 point deficit to make up should he want to make another run at the top spot.

Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth jumped three spots back up to #3 on the heels of a week that saw him earn over $100,000. The bulk of his winning came in Event #19 the PokerStars High Rollers Series for $57,524/330.82 and he followed that up finishing in third place, right behind ‘C Darwin2’, in the partypoker Sunday Major Super High Roller for $40,000/292.62.

‘European’ remained in the #4 spot as Russia’s ‘hellohellohello’ rose two spots to #5 after a pair of qualifying cashes on bwin.com.

Malta’s Steven ‘SvZff’ van Zadelhoff slipped three spots to land at #6 this week. The slip certainly wasn’t due to light volume as the popular online grinder was very active this week. He enjoyed four different qualifying cashes this week, including a victory in the bwin.com 6-Max Turbo for $3,985/126.49.

Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone also took a step back this week, sliding into the #7 spot on light volume.

There was no movement in the lower three spots of the top 10 from last week as Conor ‘1_conor_b_1’ Beresford (#8), Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky (#9) and Johannes ‘Greenstone25’ Korsar (#10) all held firm in their respective standings.

Other notable Top 25 moves: Conor ‘blanconegro’ Drinan rejoined the top 25, jumping up to the #17 rank from a previous rank of #38. He found himself cashing in five straight PokerStars High Rollers events including a fourth-place finish in Event #23 for over $156,000 and 710.71 PLB points.

Jonathan ‘proudflop’ Proudfoot was the only player to drop out of the Top 25 this week, but the UK pro sits just outside the bubble, falling to #26.
