September 8, 2016 will probably go down as one of the strangest, if not most important, days in the life of Shaun Deeb. He began the day as one of five players left in the Event #12 of the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker and ended it as the second player to have won four WCOOP titles all while his wife Ashley gave birth to their second child.

Deeb beat out a final table that included Dzmitry Urbanovich, Eric Wasserson and high stakes regular ‘OLD TIME GIN‘ to win the $1,050 No Limit Five Card Draw Championship event. Deeb earned $22,185.60 for the win which tied him with Dan Kelly for the most career WCOOP titles.

And while winning any WCOOP event makes for a great day for any poker player, his wife Ashley managed to deliver their second child, Chance, before final table play began.

While Deeb was celebrating his big day, Spanish-born poker pro ‘tua133‘ was busy putting on a clinic at the final table of the $215 Progressive KO NLHE event. He eliminated seven of his final eight opponents to win the first WCOOP title of his career and $58,559.89 in prize money plus $21,076.66 in bounties.

Deeb wasn’t the only former #1-ranked player to win a WCOOP title on Thursday. The third and final WCOOP event to wrap up, the $215 NLHE with Big Antes, went to Brian ‘brianm15’ England. The event drew 1,771 entries plus an additional 913 re-entries, allowing England, who was #1 for one week in early 2014, to walk away with his second WCOOP title and $78,382.71.
