Two more terrific tournament wins took place in the PokerGO Tour PLO Series II, as first Stephen Hubbard then Adam Hendrix won the third and fourth events respectively. With other superstars of the mixed game scene such as Dylan Weisman, Daniel Negreanu and Joni Jouhkimainen all cashing too, it was an eventful couple of days in Las Vegas at the PokerGO Studio inside ARIA on the Strip.

Hubbard the Hero in Event #3 for $231,000

Event #3 saw Stephen Hubbard proclaimed the champion as 103 entrants paid the $10,100 entry and created a prizepool of $1,030,000. Only 15 places were paid and that led to some drama on the bubble as Cliff Josephy doubled up but Michael Duek took the fall, busting in 16^th to cash for precisely nothing. Soon after, John Richards min-cashed for $15,450 in 15^th place and the race to make the final table was one.

Cliff Josephy scrambled into the final six after players such as Allan Le (10^th for $30,900), Damjan Radanov (9^th for $41,200) and Eelis Parssinen (7^th for $51,500) all busted. It was only a stay of execution for the former WSOP Main Event final table player Josephy, however, as he exited in sixth place for $61,800. Josephy was followed from the felt by Dylan Weisman who cashed for $77,250 in fifth place.

In the final four, the Czech player Karel Mokry was eliminated when his flopped two pair was superseded by Hubbard’s set of kings. That was followed by the exit of British player Richard Gryko, who lost to Bulgarian Vasil Medarov, but the latter still had something to do if he wanted to win. In the final hand, both men made a straight, but if Medarov was hoping for a chopped pot, he was mistaken, as Hubbard hit a diamond on the river to make a winning flush.

Adam Hendrix Hits the Right Tune in Event #4

A total of 101 players put up the $15,100 buy-in in Event #4, the Progressive Knockout Bounty PLO event where Adam Hendrix prevailed as the winner. Players battled to 15 money spots as in Event #3, with players such as Eelis Parssinen (14^th for $18,180), former bubble buy Michael Duek (13^th for the same amount), Maxx Coleman (10^th for $27,270) and Sam Soverel (7^th for $45,450) all going close to the last half dozen.

Finnish player Joni Jouhkimainen was the first player to leave the final table, as he busted in sixth place for $54,540 in winnings and $15,000 in bounties. There was a vast difference in bounty prizes won by those in the bottom four of the final table and the top two, who both won over $300,000. Daniel Negreanu got nowhere near that amount, busting in fifth for a total prize of $95,175.

After Kid Poker was ousted, both Christian Heich and Richard Gryko bought a ticket too. Daniel Geeng made the final battle, but couldn’t get the better of Hendrix, who in winning the final bounty, managed to sneak above Geeng in the pecking order of winnings, as the two Americans won over $640,000 between them.

Chino can be bought at 1.20 in Event #7 but we’d expect him to add more events as he progresses through the series. The popular pro, who recently told us about his successful battle in overcoming both drug and gambling addictions, will be a hot favorite should he make a final table.
